3 Types of Roofing Systems

TPO

Thermoplastic Polyolefin is a single-ply reflective roofing membrane made from polyprophylene and ethylene-propylene rubber polymerized together. Unlike EPDM, TPO may use heat welded seams where the material can be softened and welded with hot air and pressure. It is the fastest growing commercial roofing type on the market today.

EPDM

Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer is a type of commercial roofing that is easier to install, maintain and repair making it the longest lasting type of commercial roof system available.

BUR

Built-Up Roofing is the traditional “hot tar and gravel” design. It is the most cost-effective to install, and the gravel is an excellent fire retardant. Repairs can also be done in patches, saving time and money when it comes to replacing large areas.
